Safe water borehole for Dabogyiri, Upper West Region

The Dabogyiri community of 161 has no safe source of potable water. It is a very poor deprived community who has had no help in the past. Their current water source is a swampy area, which is contaminated, muddy and shared with animals (pigs, goats, cattle etc), also, the school in the community has no borehole hence school children usually go the community to ask for water to drink hence putting pressure on the little water the community has and also reducing the school children’s educational hours.

Building materials New water supply

As with all these communities the risk of snake bites to humans and domestic animals is a constant risk.

The provision of a manual hand pump safe water bore hole. Our experience tells us that these must be established in the dry season to ensure that the aquifer can supply water year-round. The water bore hole must have a water safety check to ensure that it meets drinking water quality standards. GO would love to provide a safe water supply for the community. Can you help us?
