Safe water borehole for Dapilagon, Wa West District

The Dipilagon community of 253 suffer from guinea worm, cholera and sometimes bilharzia. These affect their economic activities of the community because they are not able to do anything when they are ill. Lack of water drives the working youth into migration to the southern part of Ghana for greener pasture, therefore the older community members and children are left to wallow in extreme poverty and hunger. School going age children rather help their guardians and parents to search for water instead of going to school. In their search for water and serious snake has and continues to be a serious risk to all.

The inhabitants result in digging sump holes to sustain their need for water the wet season returns. The community spends on average 80 hrs per day collecting water which is unsafe for human consumption.
